Individuals and Families are encouraged to approach the Rotary Family Service Centre if they are finding it difficult to handle emotional changes. By seeking help, people might be able to approach the problem from another angle. A Counsellor would discuss certain events from the individuals' past that might have significance to the current difficulty. The entire counselling process requires a series of sessions. Rotary Family Service Centre has a team of experienced Counsellors with appropriate postgraduate qualifications to provide counselling over a wide array of emotional issues.
Counselling is always provided on an appointment basis except in crisis situations. Each session lasts for approximately 60 minutes. In order to better serve the community, all individuals are requested to be on time. If for some reason this is not possible, people are requested to inform the Counsellor. An alternative appointment would then be possible.

Any individual or family facing difficulty in meeting their financial obligations can approach Rotary Family Service Centre for advice. The FSC's Case Managers have extensive training and networking experience to handle such difficulties. A home visit is made by a Case Manager to determine the extent of assistance required. A recommendation is then made to the persons involved. While Case Managers suggest useful Financial Planning and Budgeting techniques, all individuals need to continue applying them even after the current problem has been overcome.

Case Managers also provide assistance in challenging situations related to housing issues and care arrangements of elderly, children or people with special needs. Following an initial assessment of the needs, the Case Manager would provide the relevant information to the individuals involved such as assistance schemes available from various sources.

Individuals and families residing within the Rotary Family Service Centre (FSC) boundary are entitled to the entire range of services offered by the FSC. For those residing outside the FSC's boundary, information is provided based on the enquiry and a referral is made to the FSC closest to their place of residence. This service is in place to enable service delivery to all residents within the boundary of the FSC at a minimal charge. If, for some reason, people living outside the boundary need to utilise the Rotary Family Service Centre's services, a higher charge may be applicable.

Rotary Family Service Centre provides some support programmes targeted at different age groups. Those residents above the age of 50 can participate in the Physio-exercise programme designed to encourage a healthy lifestyle routine. Besides the exercise programme, registered participants can be involved in various public education seminars, health-screenings and social events organised by the FSC.

Sunshine Club for children between the age of 7 and 12 years provides an ambient atmosphere for holistic growth and creativity. The programme is organised in such a way that children experience academic, physical and emotional development. Bumblebee Club caters to similar needs of children between the ages of 4 and 7 years. In addition to these programmes, the Studyheart Club was created to tutor those students who need guidance with their academic obligations. The tutor-student ratio currently stands at 1:2.
