Rotary International's motto of 'Service above Self' is the Foundation's guiding principle in its quest for service to mankind. The Foundation partners the Singapore Government in identifying needs to enhance the welfare of society and in providing appropriate community services to reduce gaps in services.

The Rotary Family Service Centre (established in 1997), Rotary - Ayer Rajah Students' Care Centre (established in 1999) and Rotary Counselling Centre (established in 2001) were results of this partnership.

   
The key objectives of the Foundation are to provide
Relief of poverty, suffering and distress
Relief of human suffering and improvement of human living conditions and through the treatment, prevention,
alleviation and combating of sickness and disease
Advancement and improvement of human living standards and social welfare
To aid, assist and give relief in any manner to charitable or educational institution whose objects are similar to or
comparable with the objects of the Foundation
